JOB SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the AVP of Servicing Oversight, the Asset Performance Analyst plays an integral role for the organization. Coordinating and overseeing the company’s portfolio, and actively participating in a variety of activities alongside onshore and offshore operations. Interacting directly with senior management, this position will assist in tracking and pushing asset performance, via analysis and application of strategic initiatives to seek out value add opportunities that will drive reduced losses. In addition, the RM Loss Analyst II is responsible for seeking loss recovery opportunities and tracking the asset life cycle financial outcome and managing the allocation of losses. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding for asset life cycles, financial statements and analysis of large data. Additional considerations will be given to those candidates that also have experience in reverse mortgages, business analyst, accounting or finance experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Review and analyze portfolio to ensure understanding of day to day movement and seek out critical areas
• Manage application of losses in accordance with investor and company guidance
• Research issues and work with management team to develop strategic changes to operation that will result in performance improvement
• Summarize or segment data and distribute to various business units
• Respond to inquiries from business regarding portfolio changes, reports and loan level details
• Conduct monthly meetings to discuss performance and strategic initiatives
FUNCTIONAL JOB COMPETENCIES
• Good written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation skills.
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little or no supervision
• Develop relationship with offshore operations, provide training and guidance as needed in accordance with performance metrics
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, evening and nights as needed
• Though minimum travel is expected, must be able to travel.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI to summarize large sets is necessary
• Preferred experience with Access or SharePoint
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• At least 5 (five) years of experience preferred.
• Graduation from a 4-year college or university with major course work in Business, Finance, Accounting or a discipline related to the requirements of the position is preferred.
• Will consider the equivalent combination of job experience & education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of this job.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel at an advanced level, Power Point, Word. Special consideration to those with experience with writing SQL Queries or working with SAS.
• Problem solving skills. This position requires critical thinking and a disciplines approach to a wide range of tasks.
• Excellent relationship building skills and aptitude for working collaboratively with cross-functional groups.
