Opportunity
The role is within NYLIM’s Strategic Asset Allocation & Solutions Group (“SAS”), NYLIM’s multi-asset specialists with over $13.0 billion in assets under management as of December 31, 2017. SAS is primarily responsible for managing a range of multi-asset products and providing multi-asset and global economic thought leadership.
SAS currently has a position open in its New York location for a highly skilled -analyst/writer who will be focused on providing timely and relevant thought leadership to support NYLIM’s marketing and sales organizations across retail, institutional and international channels. The analyst will also support SAS’s external communications responsibilities in building NYLIM’s brand recognition.
The responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Writing for the firm’s flagship publications, blogs and other reports which will involve working closely with the CIO and investment management teams
• Developing presentation materials to support SAS’s capital markets strategy calls
• Developing presentation materials to support SAS’s retail and institutional marketing activities
• Developing capital market insights and the economic environment analysis which will then be communicated to the sales force, advisors and other business partners through different mediums such as blogs, white papers and presentations
Job Requirements:
• Strong creative writing skills. Attention to detail a must
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience
• Fundamental understanding of macroeconomics and the asset management industry
• Ability to create content that is applicable to sales individuals and financial advisors
• Competent with Excel, PowerPoint and Word – familiarity with other publishing or design applications a plus
• Experience with industry tools such as Bloomberg or Thompson Reuters
• Bachelor’s degree; pursuit of CFA, MBA or other forms of continued learning a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively to achieve team objectives
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and complete them on time
