Description
Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks a Vice President in New York, New York
Work with the Trade Flow Analysis team to manage and develop software that helps the Morgan Stanley trading desks analyze, price, and trade various financial instruments. Provide strong technical expertise in design and architecture and perform hands-on development. Work on the development, enhancement, and maintenance of Equity and FID analytics tools like MS Analytics, Indexer Insight and Trade Cost tools. Build complex, data-intensive, and visually appealing user interfaces that deal with large amounts of data and a high frequency of streaming updates both in the desktop environment and also for mobile devices. Work closely with business users to understand raw requirements, translate them into deliverables, design and implement the same, and also coordinate junior resources to deliver on these projects. Track day to day progress of the project deliverables (experience in an agile environment), and iterate with the business users, interface with upstream teams, downstream teams, and infrastructure teams to source the appropriate data and services. Leverage good understanding of algorithms and data-structures and experience in UI technologies like HTML5/Angular, type script, Sencha-touch, Adobe Flex, and Java to develop and support the mentioned products. Apply working knowledge of q/KDB+ to be able to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve problems with the backend systems and provide support to business clients.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as a Manager, Developer, Software Engineer, or related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience with: HTML5 technologies including Angular and EXT-JS; and writing Java services. Requires one (1) year of experience with KDB+; equity and fixed income instruments; building products using Adobe Flex; mobile tech including Sencha-touch.
