Job Description
This Sr. Manager role will be responsible for leading a team that will build and enhance the deposits data infrastructure used for real-time, near real-time and batch fraud decisions. This position will have overall responsibility for data infrastructure planning, deployment and ongoing enhancements. This hands-on position is required to design and lead the implementation of infrastructure solutions and systems with the business technology groups, as well as manage rule implementations for fraud strategy teams.
This position requires an innovative and results-driven professional with experience in developing strategies, plans and communications to launch decision systems and solutions. The successful candidate will have a verifiable track record of delivering profitable results and an exceptional customer experience. The successful applicant is viewed as a thought leader and a top performer by all levels of management, business partners and peers. This role will have a people management responsibility.
This role is multi-faceted, requiring a mixture of analytics, problem solving and communication skills. This individual must be able to leverage internal and external relationships and insights to delivery on key business goals. This individual will work independently, and demonstrate independent judgment.
This role will manage Product Owners, Product Managers and support Agile and/or Kanban development
Key responsibilities
• Create and manage the data and decision management infrastructure environment road map that will deliver timely and complaint fraud decisions for the consumer banking organization
• Socialize the road map, provide visibility on key initiatives that require support and escalate road blocks to executive management
• Develop an understanding of existing data infrastructure; identify gaps and develop solutions with BT to close them
• Incorporate existing internal and external data sources; ensure new data sources are available for decisioning at launch
• Automate internal process, field workflows by leveraging data environment and decision management tools
• Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes

Skills
• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of relevant business or technology experience
• Infrastructure/process design and implementation experience
• Experience with Object Oriented programming (e.g., JAVA, C#, C++ or Python), Unix & Windows operation systems
• Experience with big data environments (e.g., Teradata, Hadoop)
• Experience with Decision Management Tools, experience with FICO Blaze Advisor is plus
• Familiar with Software Development Life Cycle: requirements gathering, design, coding and testing
• People management experience with the ability to hire, train and develop talent
• Strong business acumen
• Ability to collaborate, negotiate and resolve conflicts
• Must bring teams with varied objectives together for the achievement of a single goal
• Have demonstrated strengths in adapting to highly dynamic environments
• Excellent written, presentation and professional speaking skills
Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science or electrical engineering a plus
Masters degree preferred
Experience in the credit card, financial services industry or banking is a plus
