Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking a Training Support Specialist to drive the business by facilitating timely and efficient operations in coordinating the training support and tracking functions for the Manager, Group Sales Training and Group Sales Trainers.
Essential Job Functions
• The incumbent will support the Group Training Department's activities by coordinating the updating, printing, assembly and distribution of training materials and presentations for all training events including those utilizing distance learning delivery methods.
• The incumbent is responsible for maintaining the system that tracks Sales Reps, Sales Support Specialists and other associates that complete the self-directed learning requirements.
• The incumbent is responsible for maintaining an efficient filing and follow up system for easy access and timely reporting. They will work with the Manager of Sales Training on the creation and maintenance of productivity and training effectiveness reports.
• The incumbent will work closely with the Manager and Sales Trainers to maintain the learning management system including data entry and report generation.
• The incumbent works closely with the Manager and Sales Trainers to continually update and publish the universal training calendar for all stakeholders.
• The incumbent is responsible for coordinating mailing of welcome letters pre-work, and agendas, for all training events.
• The incumbent coordinates meeting and travel arrangements for the Sales Training Department staff and event attendees as assigned.
• All necessary arrangements on-site and off-site are handled by the Training Support Specialist including but not limited to reservations, meals, breaks and equipment. The incumbent is responsible for the coordination of receptions, recognitions and graduation/award ceremonies.
• The incumbent is responsible for ensuring expenses related to sales training sessions are managed within acceptable ranges. Constant awareness of travel, entertainment and other budgets associated with training sessions ensures training is delivered in the most cost-effective means for the division. This involves not only working with the sales training area but also managers of other areas when costs are to be charged to them.
• The incumbent will assist as needed with the overall sales training process and complete other specific tasks and projects as assigned by the Manager of Sales Performance Consulting.

Qualifications
• College Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Show flexibility by being able to work on multiple projects, and re-prioritize projects according to department and division objectives.
• A high degree of organizational abilities and independent problem-solving skills.
• Superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. A background in training or adult learning is helpful.
• Proficient in a variety of software programs used in this position including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access
• Desire and ability to learn new software programs and technical skills as new needs arise.
