Portfolio Review Officer Opportunity Overview
The Portfolio Review Officerfor Banner Bank is responsible for performing independent review of the company’s loan portfolio; assessing credit risk, adhering to bank policy, noting any potential weaknesses with individual extensions of credit, and the accuracy of individual risk ratings assigned to credits.
As a Portfolio Review Officerfor Banner Bank, you will have the opportunity to:
• Lead Unit Credit Examinations as assigned.
• Evaluate financial condition/credit worthiness of borrowers.
• Review Credit and Collateral Files, noting deficiencies and/or technical exceptions with regards to documentation and file maintenance.
• Assess compliance with bank policy and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate assigned risk ratings for accuracy.
• Review findings with lending unit staff, as well as with Examiner-In-Charge of the review.
• Assist in post-approval review of new loan originations when not involved in other lending reviews.
• Assist in desk review of new loan originated when not involved in on-site examinations.
• Monitor problem loan work-out situations via participation in monthly reporting calls
• Assist in sample selection and/or modification based upon insight obtained via desk review function and monthly problem loan reports
Travel: Overnight travel to various Bank locations as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related experience strongly preferred.
Experience
• 8 or more years prior Commercial and/or Real Estate Examination and/or Lending experience is desired.
Preferred Skills
• Good analytic, oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledgeable in both sound lending practices and the bank’s lending guidelines
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to consumer, commercial, and real estate lending.
• Good financial analysis skills.
• Strong knowledge of loan documentation and collateral perfection.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Microsoft Windows.
