Braintree HR Manager/People Business Partner
Since becoming a part of PayPal, the Braintree team has grown from 140 employees to 750+. We're looking to add a top notch HR Manager/People Business Partner (PBP) to our People team. You need to have broad experience managing people initiatives for a progressive company - think employee relations, people manager development, performance and talent management, career development program building, as well as diversity and inclusion initiatives. Braintree is a unique business unit within PayPal with a cross functional organization including Product Development, Engineering, Design, Operations, Merchant Technical Support, Sales, Account Management, Risk & Fraud, Underwriting and more.
Reporting directly to Braintree’s Head of People (Director, PBP), you will partner cross functionally as an HR program manager to drive business outcomes against the execution of our People priorities and help the business achieve its objectives.
As the successful candidate, you will work alongside Braintree’s managers and senior executives to develop people objectives for specific business functions and enable everyone to deliver business results. Together with the Head of People you will implement people processes and projects across the full organization through partnership with HR functions like Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent and Learning, and MyHR (Employee Relations).
Based in San Francisco, a growing strategic site for PayPal and its acquired companies, Braintree, Venmo and Xoom, you will provide important site HR leadership as a people, engagement and customer champion.

Responsibilities:
• Site new hire orientation, on-boarding, off-boarding and employee relations ambassador
• Training and leadership development. Working closely with the Head of People, Braintree and HR partners across PayPal, you'll expand our new manager training, run our annual manager feedback and engagement survey, and work with various functions to help managers develop the skills they need to be excellent leaders and mentors - through formal training, collecting and disseminating resources and informal coaching
• Preserving and improving our culture of feedback. Giving honest and meaningful feedback to each other is at the core of Braintree's culture. If we aren't honest about where we need to improve, we won't grow, but if we can't be respectful when we give tough feedback, we won't thrive. You will facilitate and constantly innovate on our established feedback processes to make feedback an everyday part of how we work
Experience:
• 5+ years HR Generalist/Business Partner experience in roles of progressively increasing scope (or 7 years in a mix of HRBP and other HR functional roles). You don't need deep experience in all the areas listed above, but you must have strong employee relations and exposure to professional development initiatives, performance and talent management processes, learning/OD, manager training, D&I and culture building
• Comfortable with in depth executive-level interface and a high degree of executive influence
• Acquisition and integration. Strong preference for integration experience working for companies on both sides of the mergers and acquisition equation
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
