JOB INFORMATION
Operates with considerable latitude in developing and bringing a story to life in the edit suite through the use of video, music, animation, graphics, still photography, and sound for both documentary-style and scripted videos. Applies strategic thinking, creativity, best practices, and problem solving to highly significant matters. Should be comfortable operating in a matrixed reporting structure.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
• Edit primarily short videos in a fast-paced production environment using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications.
• Create rough and final cuts.
• Color correction and color grading.
• Collaborate closely with a team of producers/directors on some projects; make all content editing decisions on other projects.
• Create graphics and animation.
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
• 4+ years of related experience
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Highly skilled in video editing
• Excellent organizational and self-management skills
• Must enjoy working in a collaborative environment
• Must be deadline driven
• Must be highly skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, and Illustrator and other applications in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications
• Must have an excellent ability to mix audio and edit music
• Color grading specialty application such as DaVinci
• 3-D animation experience a plus
• Some shooting experience a plus
• Must submit links to your best work
