Responsibilities:
Do you have a passion to help participants have a better understanding of their Employer Sponsored Retirement plans?
Principal is looking for someone to share our vision that everyone deserves to have the best outcome possible for their retirement! Whether that is one-on-one with a participant, through our virtual on-demand educational resources, Webinars or group presentations.
As a Retirement Education Specialist you will:
• Proactively engage with your San Diego sales and service team, plan sponsors and advisors to enhance the education experience for all plan participants.
• Help develop and implement customized plans that maximize participation in the retirement plan.
• Develop appropriate needs assessments that help retirement plan participants make informed decisions about their retirement savings and payout strategies.
• Present and facilitate seminars and workshops and one-on-one meetings.
• Collaborate with the Plan Sponsor, Advisor and internal teams to provide appropriate education solutions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required and 2+ years of experience or more in the financial services industry with experience in personal markets, retirement planning, and educating participants.
• Licensing will be required within four months of hire based on state/federal laws and/or company policy in accordance with current licensing policy. Current requirements are Series 6, 63 and Life/Health licenses.
• Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Must have proven record of success.
• Must be able to work independently and with a team.
• Travel required, including up to 20% overnight stays.
• This position may be subject to SEC restrictions on personal political contributions.
Preferred:
• Current Series 6, 63 and Life/Health licensing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish
Bilingual:
Fluency in Spanish and English is preferred.
