Secondary Marketing Assistant Opportunity Overview
The Secondary Marketing Assistant for Banner Bank is part of the Secondary Marketing Department team and reports to the department manager. In this role you will be responsible for assisting the supervisor of Secondary Marketing Department in all tasks completed by department.
As a Secondary Marketing Assistant for Banner Bank, you will have the opportunity to:
• Accept, process, register and monitor mortgage rate locks.
• Assist supervisor in managing locked mortgage pipeline.
• Assist supervisor in managing sold loan pipeline.
• Work with investors regarding delivery, extensions, and failed delivery.
• Assist loan originators with rate, lock, and delivery questions.
• Prepare daily rate sheet for all mortgage personnel.
• Ship loans as required to investors.
• Follow-up on post loan sold exceptions within commitment period.
• Monitoring custom construction pipeline for sales at completion using spreadsheets.
• Assist supervisor in reconciliation and JE preparation for investor fundings.
• Assist loan originators with investor program requirements.
• Comply with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.
Travel: Overnight travel as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Certifications
• High School plus specialized business courses.
Experience
• 3 or more years experience in processing, closing and/or servicing mortgage loans required.
Preferred Skills
• Basic understanding of general FNMA/FHLMC underwriting criteria is a must.
• Must have basic knowledge of real estate lending concepts, terms and lending and servicing procedures.
• The ability to effectively communicate and transact business with entities such as: National Mortgage Companies; FHLMC; FNMA; FHA, VA, Title companies; attorneys and other vendors.
• Medium to high skill levels in Data Entry, Word Processing, Spread Sheet, Internet navigation and Jack Henry servicing system.
• Ability to function in high volume, high stress work environment and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
