This internship will be part of First Tennessee's COMMERCIAL BANKING group.
Position is located in Memphis, TN.
This Internship will provide:

Our Internship program is a 9 week PAID program that starts on Monday, June 4, 2018 and runs through Friday, August 3, 2018.
Value for the Intern:
1) Learn the various functions within the commercial banking world from sales to credit analysis and underwriting project.
2) Apply knowledge of evaluation techniques (cash flow, discounted cash flow models and sensitivity analysis) in business environment
3) Conduct industry research to support credit decisions
Delivery:
The intern will work closely with the commercial relationship team, especially the commercial banking credit analyst.
Job Description:
• The Credit Analyst Intern analyzes credit information to determine risk involved in lending money to commercial customers and prepares reports of findings. Supports Commercial Portfolio Managers (PM), Relationship Managers (RM) and Credit Risk Managers (CRM) through financial statement spreading and analysis of new commercial loan requests as well as existing credit relationships. Analyzes such factors as income growth, margins, trends, quality of management, market share, potential risks of industry and collateral appraisal.
• Prepares credit and cash flow analysis; submits credit approval documents and write-ups to PM for decision. Monitors compliance with loan agreements and performs credit grading. Communicates frequently with the PM, RM and CRM regarding credit discussions and input on analysis. Conducts industry analysis and other special projects. Attends additional training classes and seminars.
• Completes a full credit analysis/write-up for loan approval. Write-ups include financial statement analysis, company background and debt recap, collateral and guarantor analysis, and other sections when applicable. Utilizes applicable software programs to develop credit approval documents, credit grading, and write-ups.
• Spreads financial statements using the bank’s spreading program. Assists in preparing projections and compiling sensitivity analysis. These spreads provide PMs and RMs with common size information, key ratios, cash flow reports, and RMA industry
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Average 40 hours per week.
