About the role
The Senior Information Specialist is part of a dynamic global team leveraging internal and external resources to deliver high-quality output to internal Swiss Re clients. The ideal candidate will be able to summarize and synthesize information for a variety of disciplines and able to deliver quality research often with short deadlines.
Main tasks/activities
• Ensure request fulfilment in line with defined SLA / OLA / KPI
• Manage and contribute to the development and maintenance of iRes services, products and tools
• Develop and implement activities to increase awareness about iRes services and products
• Identify and assess information sources (both external and internal) and contribute to the management of iRes' 3rd party information portfolio.
• Monitor trends and market developments impacting iRes services and products
• Act as a respected subject matter expert to Information Research customers.
• Share expertise with other team members
• Build up sustainable relationship with functional partners
• Keep abreast of issues and trends impacting the information landscape, enterprise content management and translate to actionable initiatives
About the team
This global team supports internal Swiss Re clients by providing actionable information and insights. In leveraging external and internal resources we support operations and the business by providing targeted research and information to diverse business units.
About You
• Advanced degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a business research or information management role/ alternatively: degree in Information Science/Librarianship with focus on industry research and digital technology
• Experience in leading projects and working groups
• Analytical and conceptual skills
• Sound knowledge of business research methods and content sources
• Solid understanding of the (re-)insurance /financial industry
• Strong commitment to quality and timely customer service
• Ability to maintain a high output under pressure
• Team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Ability to establish and sustain relationships with internal clients
• High degree of flexibility and initiative, as well as a proactive working style and good interpersonal skills.
