Description
The Small Business Leader is a Business Banking colleague that partners with Retail in an assigned geography to develop, implement, and execute the small
business banking strategy for their assigned market. The Small Business Banking Leader will create strong partnerships with internal colleagues both in Retail and Business Banking leadership while assisting in managing the external partnerships for the market.
The Small Business Leader will assist Retail and Business Banking leadership with skill building, & training at the retail region & market level to aid in achieving Small Business production goals, and enhance the customer experience. Responsibilities will include strategizing with retail leadership, facilitating & leading regional team meetings & calls in an effort to increase business production within their assigned market.
The Small Business Banking Leader will be expected to support management to drive sustained performance of the regional teams to assist them in achieving their assigned sales production in business deposits, lending, and cross sell.
•Responsibilities to include in person and phone activities with Regional Managers & their teams to prepare them to source, pre-plan, and conduct appointments with prospective and existing Small Business customers.
•Develop the business acumen of the assigned regional teams by facilitating and leading the training of the market management team in an effort to increase production/revenue for business banking and retail banking.
•Displays leadership qualities in sales and service. Acts as a resource to assist with colleague development.
•Identifies trends, influences, sales drivers and sales constraints within assigned markets. Using those trends, they will independently formulate & implement strategic sales plans weekly, quarterly, annually within their assigned market in order to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals through consistent execution of the small business activities.
•Facilitate, manage and drive successful partnerships with their individual retail market partners - by having regular and frequent interactions with Market & Regional Management.
•Build, foster and leverage strong partnerships with our third party partners to increase production and revenue.
•Exercises strong decision making abilities & problem solving skills
•Proven sales ability along with the ability to translate that skill to others by in-person & phone coaching
•Knowledge of business credit, including policies
•Extensive Sales management and coaching/training skills
•Knowledge of risk management principles in direct sales of business banking products with proven record of success
•Leadership skills
•Strong communication skills

•Flexibility: Willingness to perform work outside of regular responsibilities to fit the business needs.

Qualifications
• Knowledge of business credit, including policies
• Extensive Sales management and coaching/training skills
• Knowledge of risk management principles in direct sales of business banking products with proven record of success
• Leadership skills
• Strong communication skills
• Must have been exposed to Small Business in a sales & service delivery capacity - in either the Retail environment or small business environment.
• Proven experience with coaching and developing sales people to better performance. Translating goals to actionable steps that results in increased production and revenue. Working in a matrix relationship within and/or across business lines.
• Proven success in sales; success in understanding the business life cycle and identifying opportunities that fit the needs of the client.
• Success in understanding the business life cycle and speaking to the needs of a business
• Proven ability to strategize independently, create tactics using that strategy, and then translate & measure the results.
• Must have the ability to communicate clearly and professionally

Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: M-F 8-5
