Job Description

SUMMARY
As part of the enterprise Project Management Office (“PMO”), this position contributes to corporate analytics and modeling to support MB’s data-driven project portfolio management decision needs. The PMO BI position is responsible for the development and maintenance of project portfolio data maintenance, integrity, collection processes, and presentation of summary reporting. This role is also responsible for articulating reporting conclusions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
These are the most significant job duties performed. The size, scope and complexity of assigned duties and responsibilities are dependent on the level and experience of the incumbent. • Completes periodic project portfolio reports including bi-weekly summary status reports which includes health, phase and status notes on the project portfolio.
• Imputes, assesses and distributes periodic metrics on project portfolio health.
• Prepares and distributes committee packages including but not limited to the Project Oversight Committee, Enterprise Roadmap Review, Red and Yellow Meetings, and PMO Leadership meeting. Follows up with minutes and tasks associated with these meetings.
• Partners with MB Finance to distribute and analyze financial reports of project portfolio and individual projects.
• Completes historical and status based analysis of financial metrics for management reporting.
• Performs internal audits/reviews on project files, data reporting and documents to ensure compliance with enterprise policies, standards and procedures.
• Authors procedures for PMO process, reporting and work flows.
• Advises PMO Management on additional reporting and data analytics based on industry best practices.
• Contributes to the design and implementation of Business Intelligence vision for the PMO including data governance, data usage, and control processes.
• Assists in governing and managing PMO BI hierarchies, change control, issue tracking, prioritization of work to be interfaced to EDW, lead EDW UAT testing, etc. Senior level roles have direct responsibility for managing governance and control processes.
• Develops and maintains reports, models or databases to support individual and / or the enterprise’s routine and ad hoc data and analytical needs.
• Provides guidance and training to PMO Staff on use of tools, modeling, reporting and key data components in core, related databases, and the enterprise data warehouse. Senior level roles also have responsibility for leading training and communication programs.
• Manages tracking and resolution of data quality, technical and other issues.
• Understands and complies with all Bank policies and procedures, and federal and state laws and regulations pertinent to this position; stays informed and shares updates on changes with management. Required to successfully complete all required Compliance training.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but more experienced incumbents may lead the work of others including, but not limited to, guiding, coaching, mentoring, and training newer/less experienced team members.

Education and Work Experience
High school diploma or GED and 2 years of college level courses in Accounting, Finance, Business or Engineering OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Engineering.
1 to 2 years BI or data analytics experience, preferably in Banking and/or financial institutions is also required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with strategic planning, financial modeling, process improvement, and project management is preferred.

• Project Management - Knowledge of project coordination, identification of business needs, work plan, budget control, time management, resource allocation, team management and status reports. Must demonstrate leadership, logic, and reasoning skills. Identify risks/issues affecting project work progress and recommend solutions. Those in a technology related position must also have strong technical knowledge.
