Description
The Cash Management Sales Officer is responsible for the development and retention of Cash Management revenue within the assigned territory. In conjunction with assigned Relationship Managers, the Cash Management Sales Officer plans and implements a calling program designed to achieve new business and revenue growth targets.
In this position, the Cash Management Sales Officer will work with a team of Business Banking Relationship Managers to identify prospects and clients requiring Cash Management Services, develop calling programs, prepare proposals, finalize sales, and oversee the implementation of services. Additionally, the Cash Management Sales Officer will formulate client retention strategies for the portfolio revenue base, will call actively on existing clients to ascertain service satisfaction, and act in a consultative capacity to cross-sell additional services.
Prepares sales presentations, explains services offered, and recommends those services that add value to the customer.
• Prepares call reports, sales and revenue data.
• Meets periodically with existing customers to ensure proper servicing of accounts and to expand existing business relationships.
• Establishes sales objectives and assists with development and modification of corporate banking services.
• Ensures compliance in accordance with policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
• Develops knowledge of clients needs and coordinates efforts to service client organizations.
• Develops and sustains relationships with key clients, calls actively to ascertain services satisfaction and act in a consultative capacity and cross well additional services.
• Works with relationship Mangers to drive sales; identifies prospects and clients requiring services; develops calling plans, prepares proposals finalizes sales and oversees implementation of services.
Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
• 5 - 10 years prior experience selling financial services such as cash management.
• Ability to work effectively with other team members across the Bank at all levels.
• CTP preferred but not required
• Excellent client calling skills and proven track record of closing business
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation and negotiation skills
• PC proficiency; ability to develop spreadsheets and software to support sales efforts.
• Proven experience with business development.
• Solid knowledge of products, regulatory requirements and policies and procedures.
