Treasury Management Sales Consultant Opportunity Overview
The Treasury Management Sales Consultantfor Banner Bank is part of the Treasury Management team and reports to the Manager of Treasury Management. In this role you will be responsible for growing revenue as directed by TM Manager and Senior Management by successfully prospecting for new Treasury Management business and retaining and expanding existing customer relationships. Selling appropriate bank products and services to prospects and clients and identifying and successfully capitalizing on cross-sell opportunities is also essential to success.
As a Treasury Management Sales Consultantfor Banner Bank, you will have the opportunity to:
• Lead in the sale of TM products within the bank by retaining and expanding relationships with existing customers, adding new customers to increase interest income from deposits, fees, TM services, and other product groups.
• Develop, coordinate, and participate in outbound joint sales calling efforts either individually or jointly with Branch Managers, Commercial Banking, International Banking, and other Bank associates.
• Make appropriate TM recommendations to clients, prepare banking services analysis and proposals, and identify and actively cross-sell other Bank services such as Merchant or Credit Card services.
• Perform financial counseling related to account structures, collections, disbursements, and payments to commercial banking customers.
• Develop successful cash management marketing initiatives and quality, up-to-date marketing materials in collaboration with TM Sales Manager and Marketing.
• Supervise the coordination of new and existing client product set up by working with Branch or Relationship Manager and Sales Support to ensure all new accounts are structured correctly.
• Work closely with Public Funds Depositors as a relationship manager and trusted advisor. Manage and grow non-borrowing piece of joint relationships.
• Assist FC Staff sales and training staff in preparing for upcoming promotions and product awareness campaigns.
Travel: Overnight travel as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred
Experience
• 5 or more years of banking experience in the sale of Treasury Management products preferred.
• Commercial banking experience, including comprehension of cash flow, account analysis, and basic accounting as well as a working knowledge of cash management products and services preferred.
Preferred Skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial and account statement information and governmental regulations.
• Strong business correspondence skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
• Practical problem solving skills to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form.
• Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing and Microsoft Outlook software applications.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to bank products.
