The Facilities Planner (FP) is collaborative supporter and a member of the Real Estate and Facilities Team with the objective to provide world class operational service delivery to our client’s site in Blairsville, PA. The position requires a clear communicator, both verbal and written, who is organized with effective time management skills, demonstrates a willingness to learn and adapt, and who upholds the highest standards of behavior, collaborative manner and work ethic.
Responsibilities:
• Assess sophisticated critical paths utilizing software tools (SAP) to integrate and display special program activities which establish optimum conditions and effective utilization of resources and facilities, including equipment, manpower, funding, and materials.
• Facilitate periodic reviews of established plans, schedules, and material inventory to maintain schedules and preclude impact to project milestones and objectives. Develop recommended actions to resolve conflicts.
• Coach personnel in utilizing software tools (planning and scheduling) to implement client’s project management processes.
• Submit periodic progress reports and participate in weekly schedule discussions with customer to integrate client’s planning with customer planning where feasible.
• Identify and participate in implementing process and system improvements to optimize project planning and scheduling functions and resource planning.
• Team with management in preparation of manpower requirements, workload distribution, proposal development cost factors, and organization budgets.
• Create and maintain standard resource planning templates for multi-functional, complex scope.
• Maintain material inventory and supplier schedules, and coordinate resolution of conflicts that put at risk established plans.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers while coordinating the resolution of contract performance issues.
• Facilitate project planning/scheduling sessions with Westinghouse management and customer representatives and recommend actions to maintain an integrated project plan.
• Instruct client employees on advanced planning and scheduling systems and methodology. Effective communication skills required to engage workforce in effectively utilizing tools, etc.
• Build and update asset hierarchies
• Build and procure equipment and parts inventories for projects.
• Conduct and attend regular meetings throughout the day including shift turnover meetings to ensure work is scheduled and parts are available.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration and teamwork with site’s operations team.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, equivalent work experience in facilities/manufacturing maintenance will be considered in lieu of a degree
• Extensive knowledge of integrated planning and scheduling concepts and techniques, and use of current/state-of-the-art associated performance tools. Required SAP knowledge.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Project software
• Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical
• Strong organizational and management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Computer proficiency
