VICE PRESIDENT, INVESTMENT BANKING sought by Moelis & Company Group LP in New York, NY
JOB DUTIES: Direct and manage a wide variety of quantitative analyses, including leverage buyout models, discounted cash flow, multiple valuation analysis, merger and acquisition accretion/dilution analysis and credit analysis for client and investor presentations. Develop and oversee investment scenarios and corresponding presentation/prospectus material, coordinated marketing for public and private securities offerings, valuation analysis, business plans, and financial projects. Leverage the Firm’s capital markets, proprietary research and analytical capabilities to provide top-notch investment, risk advisory, merger & acquisition and capital markets services. Monitor relevant transactions, capital market trends, company financial statements, industry, regulatory, and economic information, and other important assessments in the financial sector. Work directly with Managing Directors in all facets of business, including marketing, transaction evaluation and transaction processing, as well as oversee work being performed by analysts and/or associates assigned to specific financial projects. Support the Lead Power, Utilities and Infrastructure MDs in covering both corporate and financial sponsor clients. Utilize relationships developed in the Power, Utilities and Infrastructure sectors to source new business opportunities from both existing and target clients.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field, plus four (4) years of financial management or related financial analysis experience in the investment banking industry or M&A, including experience performing financial research and analysis; debt or equity offerings; debt and equity transactions; monitoring relevant transactions and economic information; creating client-specific financial models; and maintaining client relationships in the M&A and Infrastructure sectors.
Also requires experience building and maintaining relationships with financial institutions or corporate/financial sponsor clients; and structuring and executing transactions in any one of the following sectors— Power, Utilities or Infrastructure sector—including transportation infrastructure.
Must have Series 7 and 79 licenses.
