Position summary:
Our Human Resource department is seeking an HR Consultant to join our growing team in our Worcester, MA office.
The HR Consultant provides day to day support to an assigned business unit(s). As a generalist, the role covers a broad range of HR responsibilities and the direct application within the business. Through coaching and consulting with business leaders, drives effective execution to ensure maximum business value
This is a Full-time, Exempt role.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
• Consult on the day-to-day functioning of HR services, programs, and processes
• Provide expertise in area of specialization, ensuring that partners in the business have considered all appropriate alternatives
• Apply broad knowledge in innovative ways
• Act as a key source of information for the business by providing perspective and consulting on key HR solutions
• Develop procedures and processes to measure the impact of HR programs and systems by setting baselines and ensuring movement on key business metrics
• Determine gap between current and ideal state then lead the implementation of ideas for improving accuracy and efficiency of HR-related solutions, processes and systems
• Work with partners in HR and the business to deliver strategic talent solutions to drive results and business outcomes
• Lead engagements with partners in the business to ensure full knowledge and adoption of HR programs and systems, using expert knowledge of the business to build support for processes
• Assist and support the execution of Talent Management programs
• Work with hiring managers to ensure delivery of employee lifecycle goals, performance reviews and evaluations that align to the success of the organization
• Ability to align a single program and deliver multiple programs across a number of diverse businesses
• Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
• 1-3 years of experience as a human resources generalist and/or 2-4 years of HR related experience
• Managing projects to completion on time and on budget
• Ability to keep up with the pace of the work with short turnaround time on deliverables
• Continually bring new and innovative solutions
• Demonstrated learning agility and change leadership
• Ability to analyze data to make the best talent and business decisions in support of areas partnering with and the overall Hanover
• Working independently with latitude for un-reviewed decision making
• Demonstrated skills as an effective problem solver using a systematic approach, understanding root causes and influencing others.
• Knowledge of specialized areas within Human Resources (e.g., employee relations, learning & Development)
• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience required
