Description
The Business Banking Relationship Manager is responsible for soliciting, negotiating and coordinating the establishment and management of commercial loans. In addition to developing new and existing personal & business relationships in a specific market in accordance with assigned goals, the Business Banking Relationship Manager is responsible for working closely with credit underwriting team members and administrative staff to ensure that all business is managed in an efficient manner and compliant with required deadlines.
Generates new business banking loans according to loan policy guidelines, the bank’s risk tolerance and regulatory guidelines. Deal sizes range from $500,000 to $2,000,000. Must have depth in credit and strong experience serving clients with revenues between $1 and $15 million.
Builds knowledge of all clients and prospects by compiling an in-depth profile of commercial business owners, other principals and centers of influence.
While working within established credit, exercises appropriate discretion in analyzing merits of specific credit and loan prospect requests. Adds value to client/prospect interactions. Makes loan presentations to appropriate loan committees when required.
Provides superior level of customer service while actively managing business banking relationships. Responds and resolves client inquiries in a timely manner, identifies new opportunities and maintains understanding of client’s complete financial objectives.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate has 6 plus years’ experience managing a portfolio of commercial banking clients, has a strong knowledge of the Northbrook, Northfield and Glenview market, and experience with Treasury Management products.
Good written and verbal skills essential.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Formal credit training preferred
