Manage Treasury professional staff to provide for accurate, efficient Treasury processes including cash balancing, cash projections and other financial analyses. Maximize financial returns by effective management of cash flows. Work with business units on appropriate utilization of banking services and to promote strong internal controls over cash flow processes.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage banking relationships with five major financial institutions. Add or change banking relationships as needed to serve the growing and varied needs of the company. Ensure that cash flow is managed to enhance short term and long term investments and to maximize financial returns while providing liquidity necessary to meet company obligations. Manage and actively seek reductions in annual bank fee expense. Participate in periodic negotiation of credit facilities and manage periodic borrowings. Oversee preparation of daily, monthly and annual cash flow projections to support allocation of investment income and asset/liability management. Manage professional staff responsible for Treasury processes.
Assist and at times manage corporate or divisional projects including but not limited to system implementations, new product offerings or acquisitions, third party vendor contracts particularly as they relate to cash receipts, cash disbursements, and e-commerce. Manage staff participation in company wide initiatives as requested by senior management.
Develop, implement, and maintain effective treasury policies and procedures to establish practices consistent with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and to promote a strong, effective internal control structure in Treasury and in other departments and divisions collecting or disbursing funds.
Administer all treasury systems and related software including installations, upgrades, and maintenance. Administer other company systems related to cash receipts and cash disbursement as requested by senior management.
Support all areas of the company by providing assistance with treasury related matters and by acting as a liaison with our bank representatives. This includes but is not limited to lockbox processing, electronic funds transfers, retained asset programs and corporate cards.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related field or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
Experience: Six years of progressively responsible experience in Treasury management or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
Professional Certification required: CPA, CMA, CTP (certified treasury professional) preferred (or actively pursuing).
