First Data Global Business Solutions (GBS) provides our millions of business clients around the world, large and small, with a broad range of commerce-enabling solutions to help them more effectively manage, market and grow their businesses. GBS solutions include acquiring, eCommerce, mobile commerce, marketing, analytics, and next-generation commerce innovations, including mobile payment services, webstore-in-a-box solutions and Clover, our cloud-based point-of-sale operating system that includes a marketplace for proprietary and third-party business apps.
Job Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Regional Vice President- SMB Sales, the successful incumbent will work with and develop a team of Business Consultants in the achievement of the territory’s sale quota, effective pricing and margin sustainability, effective management of the partner bank relationship and lead generation, and the acquisition, development and retention of productive sales talent. He or she will provide leadership and coaching for Business Consultants, roll out new product and program training, and provide field sales expertise as directed. This individual reports to the VP to develop and execute on revenue plans.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
• Strong leadership skills with proven success track
• Merchant services and small business solution sales experience required
• Past exposure to small business banking
• Experience with premier financial institutions (Small Business Banking)
• Technologically savvy; comfortable with common software, apps, tablet and cloud-based solutions
• Passion for continuously learning about and leveraging new technology to help grow small businesses
• A drive for self-directed learning and personal development
• Entrepreneurial spirit
• Highly self-motivated, energetic, creative, and personable
• Strong quantitative skills
• Bachelor’s Degree

Scope of Job
Short cycle sales. First level of sales management for short cycle sales organizations and/or smaller scope sales organizations in smaller countries.
Autonomy
Works independently under general supervision and instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience leading an outside sales organization
• Experience managing large geographic territories and business partnerships
• Knowledge and experience selling within the bankcard industry is preferred
• Proven record of developing and managing a staff to achieve and exceed their sales quota goals
• Ability to adapt and navigate through complex business issues in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
• Experience and capability to build new and immediate relationships of trust
• Demonstrated success and achievement of challenging goals and expectations
• Prior experience in successfully selecting individual talent and integrating the individual talent into an effective team
• Ability to develop a plan to effectively produce top line revenue growth
• Effective communication skills are required; both written and verbal
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years sales experience preferred. Prior coaching and leadership of a team preferred.
• Previous experience using Salesforce.com and proficiency using Microsoft Office are strongly preferred.
