Responsibilities:
This highly motivated and ambitious individual will be responsible for working with local relationship managers to enhance the value proposition to existing rated issuers and executing fee contracts. This will entail building and leveraging relationships through account planning, typically at executive level.
It is envisaged that this person will have managerial responsibilities for team members based . We are looking for someone who is able to be innovative in the way they build propositions & negotiate terms with some of our long standing customers.
Principal responsibilities will include:
• Completion of a portfolio of fee renewals and those delegated to team members for financial institutions and corporate contracts expiring each
financial year
• Working with corporate finance BRM relationship managers to devise individual strategies for key and complex accounts
• Acting as advisor and mentor to GRM and BRM negotiators as required. Focus should be on key renewal themes
• Identify new business opportunities through effective dialogue with issuers
• Develop strong working relationships within the Fitch Group to maximize the value proposition offered to issuers
• Develop and enhance management reporting, with a particular focus on key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Work with Global Business heads on budgeting
Other responsibilities include:
• Management and execution of a small number of special projects including but not limited to competitor analysis, pricing strategies, as well as supporting their line manager on bespoke tactical and strategic projects
• From the outset the individual will enjoy a significant degree of autonomy and responsibility, with excellent opportunities for self and career development. The role involves travel to visit issuers.
This role requires a detailed understanding of Corporate Finance and the debt capital markets (bonds and loans. An understanding of corporate credit analysis would be an advantage. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate at a senior level. Strong marketing and interpersonal skills are a pre-requisite with a successful track record of developing commercial relationships and negotiations.
Qualifications and experience:
• This role requires an experienced individual with highly developed and proven business relationship and strong negotiation skills at a senior level.
• Experience of capital markets with at least experience of banking / corporate finance or direct interaction in a buisness development role with corporate CFO's / Treasury staff / Procurement and a demonstrated record of achievement in this area.
• Self-starter with the motivation to initiate negotiation strategies and execution plans.
• Able to work independently within a strategic framework whilst maintaining high work standards and show excellent attention to detail
• Team oriented, with ability to effectively build relationships both externally and internally.
• Knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word and experience of financial data systems such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters and Salesforce.
• University degree, preferably in a business-related discipline.Other professional or business qualification (e.g. MBA, Master’s Degree) would be an advantage.
• A European language would be advantageous - French / German / Italian/ Spanish
