An opportunity to grow a business—Head of Consumer Credit Card
Citizens Bank is looking for a dynamic leader to join as Head of Consumer Credit Card within the Consumer Deposits and Lending area of the bank. As the head of the credit card business, you will have full decision making responsibility for the business and have the autonomy to drive overall strategy to incite change. A highly visible role, you will build and execute on frictionless experiences for our customers while leading an ambitious change agenda across the organization.
Together with a team of five to ten direct reports, you will be in charge of developing the strategy, building products and performance improvement strategies, and executing in critical growth and efficiency initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for making step-change improvements in the customer experience and directing digital experiences, credit risk, marketing, pricing, fraud, contact center servicing, and regulatory compliance. Your focus will be to build on the strong foundation to achieve step-change growth for the business.

Primary responsibilities include:
• Leadership, guidance, and development of Credit Card Organization focusing on professional growth and development of each member of the team
• Partnering with Finance and Portfolio Performance Teams in developing budgets and forecasts actively driving discussion of product and pricing strategies and expected portfolio behaviors to achieve budget targets
• Accountable for the P&L for Credit Card products. Responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to ensure achievement of market share and revenue/profitability objectives for product portfolios, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and guidelines
• Directs strategic and competitive analysis to ensure product structure is well positioned
• Ownership and management of product features and benefits in order to optimize product suite including the strategy and roadmap for growth
• Identify, mitigate and monitor risk issues per Bank policy and guidelines
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
• 10+ years of product development experience in Financial Services including institutional change
• 5-10+ years of experience in managing Credit Card, Payment Networks, etc. and developing new products and features to drive continued product growth and profitability
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Strong working knowledge of Credit Card and payments functionality and P&L
• Experience growing product/business line with both new and existing customers through marketing and multiple channels
• Strategic thinker and planner with experience in product development, product management and operations in financial services or other relevant service sector industries
• Knowledge and skill to lead growth and take the Credit Card product to the next level
• Excellent capabilities in developing and executing strategies for leading consumer and small business banking products and services. Strong ‘end-to-end’ product development and product management processes and disciplines
• Track record of successful development and implementation of product enhancements and operations capabilities across a broad portfolio of products and services
• Experience in operations and vendor relationship management, contract and SLA negotiations and management
• Strong coach and developer of people. Experienced at identifying opportunities where mentoring and leading by example will foster leadership at the next level
• Expert builder and manager of internal and external relationships
• Clear and articulate communicator with strong personal presence who establishes credibility with audiences inside and outside the bank
Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
