Financial Analyst Senior-- Assists in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities directly supporting the Asset (Equipment and Technology) Finance and CRE (Commercial Real Estate) groups within the Commercial Banking segment. Prepares extensive and detailed analyses of financial statements and reports, and makes recommendations to appropriate management levels. Coordinates and analyzes assigned portions of budgeting, forecasting and/or strategic planning including business case justification. Completes profitability, feasibility and ad hoc analysis of revenues, expense and budget data.
• Assist in coordinating FP&A activities within the Commercial Banking segment for the Asset Finance and CRE Verticals.
• Responsible for supporting the detailed monthly driver-based forecasting for balance sheet movements, service fees, staff and other expenses requiring detailed understanding of the business, and the drivers of expense and revenues.
• Assist in the weekly reporting of pipeline, fee and deposit movements as well as risks and opportunities within the budgets.
• Assist in the monthly reporting of results to the finance team. This will include analyzing rates, FTP, spreads, fee income, expenses, and volumes, along with the respective financial drivers.
• Business Case development for new products and initiatives.
• Ad hoc involvement in broader Commercial Finance projects where needed.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree.
• 5 or more years of experience analyzing income and expense trends and developments and preparing analytical reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree preference: Finance, Business or Accounting.
• Basic knowledge of applicable business products
• Able to multi-task effectively, be a self-starter, and be able to handle stress with composure and professionalism.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with many levels of management.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Understand the concept of materiality (i.e., knows when information is relevant), and possesses solid understanding of major revenue sources for Commercial Banking.
• Able to proactively manage issues and assignments, and move work forward with limited direction.
• Capable of managing changing priorities with ease and poise and with an understanding of priorities.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Essbase
