JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Sales Compensation Analyst, you'll work closely with the Head of Sales Strategy and various business leaders on creating and managing sales compensation plans to incentivize and drive the sales teams for short and long term growth. You would own calculations of monthly/quarterly payouts and work closely with our finance and payroll team to roll these out. This role will be comprised of intense tracking and validation of sales orders and payments, and overall support to the Sales Organization from an incentive and compensation standpoint. The ideal candidate has a background in compensation and knowledge of the Excel, Xactly tool and Salesforce.com.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the monthly commissions process for the entire GLOBAL sales organization. This includes understanding and applying the commission plan consistently, maintaining quotas and rates, ensuring internal commissions calculations comply with the plan, and managing exception requests. Provide expertise, support and training to the international teams on these plans.
• This position is primary point of contact for sales management and field sales, including practical application and interpretation of the compensation plans, and resolving issues.
• With each new fiscal year, participate in rolling-out new plans, including plan and updating policies and processes.
• Own the end-to-end monthly sales incentive calculation and payment process and systems, driving operational excellence, accuracy, timeliness, consistency and compliance as defined by the corresponding compensation programs and plans.
• Work with Sales Operations Finance and the Payroll teams to ensure data accuracy including hierarchy and calculations are correct.
• Work closely with the Finance Department for firm understanding of the financial plans and any impact that sales compensation programs may have against sales, EBITDA, etc.
REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED SKILLS
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in sales compensation role
• Experience with sales compensation and incentive programs. Knowledge of global sales compensation policies and programs and associated compliance issues a plus.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce.com as it pertains to reporting
• Detail-oriented and strong organization skills
• Ability to work independently
• Verbal, written and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Experience administering Xactly or other commission tools a plus.
• Ability to work within deadlines with minimal supervision
• Capable of managing multiple projects from start to finish
