Real Estate Delivery Co-Op/Internship, Boston, MA
Job summary: Assist Managers within Real Estate Delivery with administration and execution of all phases of Real Estate Delivery projects including, but not limited to: data analysis, space planning, design, construction, move logistics, vendor scheduling, project presentations, budget/budget tracking and close-outs. Support departmental strategic initiatives and programs involving standards, processes, finishes, preventative maintenance programs, and national vendor programs.
Job Responsibilities: This job provides support within the Real Estate Delivery department. Duties will vary based on the nature of the projects.
1. Support project managers in administration of all phases of real estate projects. Some key areas of support typically include: space planning, test fit review, RFP development and analysis, contract development & management, vendor management, schedule/milestone tracking, move event planning & execution, tenant improvement allowance requests, closeout assistance, furniture ordering, etc.
2. Assist with budget development & tracking. Receive and resolve any issues with project invoices and vendor contracts for multiple real-estate projects. Process includes data entry and scanning of vendor contracts and invoices into proprietary project management system for final payment and record keeping.
3. Facilitate the up-keep of the Real Estate @ Liberty Mutual database (REALM). Typical duties include: update of floor plans post-move, periodic checks of space information accuracy, production of floor plans as requested and the preparation of space information reports.
4. Assist in researches, benchmarks and make recommendations in support of various departmental strategic initiatives or programs, which may include the following: standards, finishes, processes, utility usage contracts, and national vendor programs.
5. Document new standards or processes and keeps documentation updated, ensuring appropriate version control and compliance with retention schedules.
6. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Preparation, Training and Experience:
• Undergraduate working towards a bachelor's degree with a Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, Facilities management, business or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA. Additional requirements might apply
• 0-2 years of professional experience
• Proficiency with programs including: Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe or Bluebeam and Outlook.
• Requires excellent organizational, time management, prioritization & multitask skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills are required.
