We are moving the HQ from Itasca to 8750 W. Bryn Mawr in Chicago in May 2018. It will be a short walk from the O’Hare Blue Line at Cumberland and the Kennedy.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the administration of the company’s health and welfare benefit programs, including outsourced programs, and maintenance of HR Benefit systems.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in the administration of the company’s defined contribution plan. Act as backup to the other benefit retirement plans
• Understand the intricacies of the plan design and serve as a resource to answer employee questions
• Manage benefit plan vendor relationships
• Responsible for maintenance of HR outsourced benefit systems
• Identify and document recurring problems or trends and provide feedback to management
• Serve as primary point of contact for auditors in their annual plan review
• Support the benefits analysis process when other banks are acquired
• Stay informed of emerging benefits trends and legislation and keep management informed of the impact of potential regulatory changes
• Ensure company is in compliance with the ACA
• Identify process improvements by discovering issues, process delays and quality problems, and then recommend solutions
• Provide support, as needed, to other Human Resource functions such as HRIS, Compensation, Employee Relations and training.

Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business preferred or equivalent experience required
• Professional Certification (e.g., CEBS) strongly preferred
• 3 years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, with a focus on broad-based benefits including welfare and retirement plans
• Prior vendor management experience preferred
• Great communication skills required
• Excellent analytical, organizational, report writing, and problem-solving skills required
• Comprehensive knowledge of benefit laws and regulations
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong sense of urgency, energy, and passion about your profession
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
• Exercise sound judgment; retain the highest degree of confidentiality; possess professional skills
• Team player who can easily handle shifting priorities and multi-tasking in a deadline oriented environment.
• Position may require the need to travel to other branch or meeting locations in the Chicago area.
