The Investment and Product Solutions Analyst II will Lead the Sales Engineering existing client pricing team, a team tasked to evaluate and engineer high quality Total Retirement Suite solutions (DC, DB, NQ, ESOP) for existing employer-sponsored retirement clients either through RFP or pricing. . As team leader, you will be responsible for the coaching and development of your employees and other department employees. Work with distribution and operations partners to help meet sales, retention, and profit goals, and to help facilitate/implement improved processes. Assist the team in providing detailed analysis of competitor offerings and positioning our pricing and service offering appropriately. Initiate change, make recommendations and provide technical expertise in development of new products, markets, sales tools and marketing materials. Design and lead projects for the department, partnering with other business areas on efforts as applicable.
Additional responsibilities may include:
• Provide in-depth review and engineering to assist team members for retirement plan sales/existing client and higher-level projects including: Coordinate and lead discussions with sales and service (including Managing Directors, Vice Presidents and Regional Vice Presidents, SRMs, RMs, etc), external financial professionals and other business area leaders to help meet sales, retention and profit goals. Educate, influence and serve as liaison to all retirement sales/service offices to maintain ongoing relationship and instill company retirement and investment philosophies.
• Identify and understand business needs and objectives, plan accordingly, and implement solutions to improve effectiveness, efficiencies and results.
• Gather information and input from competitors, market research, industry surveys, other business units and member companies to ensure the competitiveness of the product lines. Prepare recommendations/proposals to senior management when gaps/opportunities are identified.
• Design and facilitate ongoing education workshops on advanced retirement topics, including new products and services and market trends for business unit employees, sales force members and external clients/intermediaries. Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Qualifications:
Skills required:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent of 8 years’ experience
• 7+ years of related industry experience.
• Active FINRA Series 6 licensing is preferred. If you do not have an active Series 6 will need to be obtained 6 months from start date.
Successful candidates will have the following:
• Advanced level of plan design and business unit product knowledge as well as extensive knowledge of competitors.
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, oral and written communication, mathematical calculation and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Travel, including overnight stays, may be required up to 10%.
