Responsibilities
In this role, you will work closely with clients and Baker Tilly Capital staff to provide the following types of services:
• Managing Director level general duties for relationship management of Community Development Entities (CDEs) including:
◦ Assisting in vetting potential transactions for structural and economic feasibility for potential investments by CDEs
◦ Assistance with negotiating with investors and lenders
◦ Assisting in closing investments on behalf of borrowers or CDEs.
◦ Assistance in identifying pipeline for CDEs
• Other Managing Director level general duties related to identifying other potential broker dealer transactions including assistance with merger and acquisition work, corporate finance work and other transaction advisory services
• Possible new business development work for Baker Tilly Capital and its CPA firm affiliate if appropriate for the selected candidate based on their experience
• General consulting to assist clients in achieving their objectives
• Provide support services related to application development
• Other duties as assigned including review and supervision of selected staff
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Public Affairs, Finance, or Urban Planning
• Six (6) years plus experience in finance in a Vice-President role or higher. In addition, must have relevant experience in working with the New Market Tax Credit program dating back at least three (3) years.
• Demonstrated analytical, organizational, exceptional interpersonal, project management, communication, and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) required
• Ability to provide exceptional client service and demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties
• Willingness to travel on an as needed basis
