Description
Sikich is currently seeking a Human Capital Intern to join our team in March 2018. As an Intern, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Generalist function within the Sikich LLP Human Capital team. The work schedule is flexible; however, it is preferred that candidates are available to work a minimum of four-hour blocks of time totaling between 16 to 20 hours per week. Hours may be worked during regular business hours of 8:00 – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday with no overtime required.
Role Responsibilities:
• Administer the transition of historical data from the Firm’s performance management system
• Complete transition from paper to electronic filing for all employee records; organize and implement electronic filing system
• Conduct an I-9 audit
• Administer the transition of current Human Capital files into the new electronic system
• Assist with maintaining up-to-date and accurate employee records and data
• Ensure administrative functions are carried out promptly and efficiently
• Assist the Human Capital Team with special projects and assignments
• Assist the Human Capital team with processes and functions regarding onboarding
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with the Human Capital team, as well as other departments throughout the organization
Required Qualifications:
• Open to students that will have either Sophomore or Junior status at time of internship
• Detail oriented
• Ability to take quick and immediate action in a very fast paced working environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong Learning ability: able to quickly grasp basic understanding of Sikich's business and organizational structure, culture, and climate
• Ability to interface with all levels of employees in a sophisticated, professional manner
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
