Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Lead a team in the coordination and review of:
• Monthly management and operating committee presentations
• Monthly enterprise-wide expense reporting, including presentation of results to CFO and management team
• Quarterly earnings call preparation, including summarized financial documents relied upon by the senior management team (e.g. Financial Brief, Annotated Supplement)
• 10Q and 10K Management Discussion and Analysis Outlook
• Annual Financial Plan and Budget
• Annual Proxy support
• Strategic priorities and requests on an ad-hoc basis
Role also responsible for:
• Direction, scheduling, timing, and allocation of work for staff, and briefing to Corporate FP&A senior management team
• Business ownership of Travelers’ enterprise-wide expense reporting system
• In partnership with Investor Relations and Corporate accounting, completion of ad-hoc competitor and industry analysis, with comparisons and takeaways for Travelers and related businesses
• Coordination of business continuity plans, Sarbanes-Oxley and other controls for the Corporate FP&A team

Job Summary
As a member of the Corporate FP&A management team, coordinate the analysis and presentation of actual and forecasted financial results for the company’s executive team. Corporate FP&A synthesizes, distills, and analyzes financial results of the enterprise, from business segments to large operational areas. The incumbent will work closely with senior members of Investor Relations, Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Claim, and Information Technology and across all Business Segments. Corporate FP&A work products are relied upon by the Chief Financial Officer, as well as other members of senior management and the Board of Directors.
Under general direction, lead a team in the development of analysis and reporting for monthly and quarterly management and operating committees, as well as quarterly earnings calls. Incumbent is expected to draw conclusions and recommendations from the analysis in order to tell the story of financial results and help inform business decisions. The role is also responsible for the facilitation of the company-wide financial plan and budget. Opportunities available for presenting directly to the executive management team. Expected to be versed in both finance, accounting and business concepts.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 6 years of related experience. Minimum 3 years of management experience.
Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting preferred. Typically 8+ years of related experience. Thorough knowledge of Financial Analysis concepts, principles, processes and applications across all Financial Analysis functions. Thorough Knowledge: Possesses advanced knowledge of subject matter in order to solve unusual as well as common work problems.
