About the Role:
As the leader, you will manage activities necessary for Operations Management, Production, Printing, Production Support and Production Control of the Kent, WA location. You will be responsible for the communication and maintenance with all vendors/operational vendors. You will influence the operations of the location making sure to meet required service levels and implement cost savings initiatives to improve efficiencies.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Performs duties and manages activities necessary for Operations Management, Production, Printing, Production Support, Production Control, Industrial Engineering, Warehousing, Cardroom and/or Vault, Shipping, Facility Maintenance, Technical Maintenance, Security and other related or assigned functions for the local or overall organization.
• When assigned assists supervisor with planning and formulating goals and objectives.
• Performs tasks to motivate, administer controls, and to maintain sound and effective management programs.
• May on occasion travel to other company locations to assist in problem resolution.
• Prepare reports and recommendations relating to operations for management.
• Utilize trade journals, attend local trade association meetings, and related to keep abreast.
• Incumbent is expected to be able to perform independent of supervision/technical assistance except for difficult issues.
• Technical and supervisor problem solving is a very serious responsibility and requires research, investigation, inquiry, and evaluation.
• Regularly works with confidential information and data requiring care to protect.
• Physical requirements include walking, standing, sitting, and the use of hands to process work and use keyboard. May on occasion exert or lift up to 25 lbs. Successful performance requires good vision abilities including close vision.
Required Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor degree or equivalent experience preferred
Job Related Experience:
• 5+ years of direct experience with operations and considerable knowledge of production management technology and methodology preferred
• 2+ years in supervision or closely related experience
Additional Skills/Knowledge:
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• Good skills in communications and writing; professional in appearance and mannerisms; tact and diplomacy in dealing with others.
• Also, requires good organizational skills, ability to stay in control and maintain even handed approach with people while working with continually changing multi tasks in a deadline work environment.
