At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Senior Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• The Senior Associate will support the creation of a draft portfolio framework that enables a monetary and non-monetary Return on Investment (ROI) model, revising the draft framework, piloting the draft framework and further refining it to meet intersecting needs of CDER’s program offices.
• The senior analyst should have experience helping large public and/or private sector healthcare organizations with portfolio improvement and optimization.
• Create and refine a portfolio framework that enables an ROI assessment.
• Perform trade studies, statistical and cost analyses, forecasts and other quantitative analyses to support development of the ROI model.
• Support team to develop fee cost models and surveys on behalf of public sector clients to inform monetary and non-monetary ROI assessments.
• Analyze the costs, effectiveness and risks associated with alternatives to determine the most appropriate course of project action.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior-level clients and decision-makers.
• Maintain good working relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and work with client management and staff to perform related services.
• Use quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques to reduce unnecessary complexity, identify trends, themes, and inform recommendations.
• Create clear, concise, professional reports to inform contract deliverables.
• Work independently and within a team setting to support team operations.
• Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
• Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business, public health or related field required.
• Minimum three years’ experience in financial management, accounting practices, and/or project management required.
• Understanding of cost models and experience developing, maintaining and documenting a cost model preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel) and Tableau.
• Certified with Society of Cost Estimating and Analysis (SCEA) Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) is a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
• U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
• Travel may be required.
• Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
• Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
• Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
