RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Duties: Associate-Intermediate/Vice President with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Vice President within the Finance division’s Controller’s department’s Regulatory business unit. The unit ensures that the Firm meets all the financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated and public financial institution and measures the profitability of and risks associated with every aspect of the Firm’s business. Using sophisticated and proprietary mathematical and statistical techniques, models, systems and tools to conduct daily, monthly and quarterly regulatory reporting for risk capital analysis in accordance with multiple regulatory regimes, such as Basel 3 Advanced, Standardized, Supplementary Leverage Ratio (SLR) and Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR). Calculate the capital and risk-weighted assets across multiple assets classes and calculation segments like OTC Derivatives, Funding Transactions, Equity Investments, Loans and Commitments and Other Balance Sheet and the Firm’s trading book. Calculate the Firm’s capital ratios under CCAR stress test and analyze and escalate issues identified for processes for each component of the capital and risk-weighted assets calculations to assess impact on capital. Attribute risk-based capital and calculate return on equity for the Firm’s business units and conduct data analytics in order to prepare, summarize and communicate findings to senior management. Work with Technology, Operations, Regulatory Policy, Risk and other Controller functions to enhance systemic reporting, analytical and control framework. Interact with the Firm’s regulators on various aspects of risk-based capital and reporting. Work with Internal Audit and Capital Review Groups to ensure compliance with regulatory guidance on risk capital calculations and regulatory disclosures. Train and mentor new members of the Regulatory Controllers team.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree program in Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field. Six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have two (2) years of experience with: calculations of Risk Weighted Assets and Capital based on the Federal Reserve Regulations such as Basel 3 Advanced, Standardized, Supplementary leverage Ratio, Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review Stress Tests; Regulatory Filings and disclosures including the FFIEC 101, HC-R, Pillar 3, FRY-14A, FRY-14 Q, FFIEC 102, and FRY-15; attribution of Risk-based capital and calculating return on equity for an Investment Bank’s business units and Capital Planning; data visualization and aggregation tools, such as Tableau or Alteryx.
