POSITION SUMMARY:
Advisory Solutions helps clients understand what they can do to achieve their financial goals by creating individualized plans and putting their money to work to maximize their outcomes. Advice & Planning launches and maintains planning tools available to all 5.5 Million clients to address their savings and income goals to and through retirement. The Investment Management Group invests ~$50 Billion in client assets across several Retail and Institutional products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Product/Advice Innovation
• Working directing with the head of Advisory Solutions and other leaders, this role will develop proposals to support senior-level decision making in the development, evaluation and execution of strategic planning, business cases and related initiatives.
• Lead the effort to create and manage multi-year strategic business plans and funding requests for review and action by senior management
• Responsible for alignment of business initiatives with the company’s overall strategic business objectives
• Analyze complex financial information to track and provide periodic and ad hoc models/reports on business progress, advice/product and sales trends and forecasts, and product-level P&L impacts
Business Management
• Partner closely with Retail Financial Services leadership to provide ongoing business management reporting and analytics.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews for senior management
• Provide direction for Advice and IMG teams to recognize accomplishments, highlight risks, and communicate business plans
• Interpret financial planning & investment performance outcomes for business partners and leadership reporting
• Actively support Performance Management activities
• Prepare executive presentations for internal committees and project stakeholders. Coordinate business readiness and internal communications
• Develop metrics and benchmarks to measure key functions and initiatives
• The ideal candidate must be comfortable in a high performance, fast paced, high-pressure environment. Strong analytical skills and the ability to formulate, develop and execute strategic initiatives will be critical to success. This role will require well-developed financial/quantitative analytical skills as well as working knowledge of financial advice and planning, investments, financial products and distribution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
• BA/BS/BBA Degree
• 2+ years of business management experience
Desired Qualifications:
• MS, MBA, JD, CFP, CFA, CPA are a plus
• Experienced in leading complex projects
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders
• Superior quantitative / analytic abilities required
• Excellent written business communication skills required
• Strong financial and investment experience and background preferred. Legal background a plus.
• Demonstrated understanding of financial regulatory environment and industry trends and how they can be implemented to maintain competitive position
• Thorough understanding of business objectives of the product area and their link to the success of the overall organization.
• Three years of management experience a plus
