• Manage a team of operational staff within Central Services Organization (CSO) to execute against stated workflows and performance objectives.
• Oversee all workflows and processes within the CSO, including management of Offshore team. Responsible for training, execution, issue resolution and acting as a liaison between the Offshore team and the Underwriting Community.
• The Supervisors are expected to have in-depth knowledge of all processes supported by CSO and continuously seek out opportunities for enhancement.
Responsibilities:
• Management and oversight of all functions supported by offshore teams
• Managing and orchestrating training within CSO for systems and processes
• Maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guidelines
• Verifying quarterly changes made to all SOP’s or Protocols used by the Offshore team
• Handling and processing all rush business, when needed
• Timely identification and escalation of issues related to functions supported by CSO
• Training and management of the Offshore team through an on-going process
• Communication and liaison with IT regarding any system issues that occurs; in support of both onshore and offshore teams
• Communicate with the Underwriting community for troubleshooting or with any operational assistance
• Direct point of contact for Underwriters, Brokers and Senior Management and other functional areas within the organization
• Participation in and preparation for audits, both internal and external
• Performance management for all direct reports. Organize workflow and ensure that all direct reports understand their roles and responsibilities
• Managing any complaints and resolving those issues
• Set goals and objectives for employees that are obtainable and are met within deadlines
• Monitoring productivity for team members both onshore and offshore
• Field questions from Offshore team
• System testing for releases/enhancements as needed; participation in requirements gathering for new initiatives/changes
• Continuous performance improvement (onshore and offshore); streamlining processes and workflows; validate workflows are being executed against stated performance objectives by function
Qualifications:
• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• 5-10 years Insurance Operations experience preferred.
• Strong use of computer software including all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook); Web based applications; Access Databases, PDF, Nuance
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills (verbal, written & presentation), professional attitude
• Strong organization, communication, technical and accurate time management skills
• Adaptable to a pressing deadlines
• Self-motivated
• Capable of managing deadlines
