Description
As a member of Santander’s retail banking division you’ll help serve Santander’s retail and small business customers as part of one of the top banks in the United States based on deposits. With principal presence in the northeast U.S., Santander’s retail division offers consumer and lending products to help our customers reach their financial goals. Santander currently serves nearly 2 million retail customers and 5.2% of the 2.7 million small businesses in the US footprint have a transactional account with Santander Bank.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare all closing documents via CMSI for Home Equity, Auto, Unsecured, and CD/Savings Secured loan products that are scheduled to close next day
• Rush Closing requests are completed as they come in to our Rescue database
• Second reviews are completed for high end closings by a senior processor or Supervisor
• Review all completed closing documents for accuracy by Funds Available dates for Equities, and oldest closing date for direct products
• Complete funding for all closings as applicable on Funds Available date or the same day errors are resolved
• Follow-up for any errors found during Review Process
• Continue follow up until errors are resolved. Escalate to next level management as applicable
• Review faxed supporting documents by 3:00 p.m. on day received to ensure application moves through the approval process
• Performs other processor duties as assigned including review of reports, compliance testing, attending meetings
Qualifications
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a financial services environment with a focus in Lending, Call Center, Loan Processing and/or Retail
• Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced team environment
• PC knowledge with comfort working in a Windows environment
• Strong customer service skills; professional, courteous, friendly, and empathetic with a positive "can-do" attitude
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to make swift, sound judgments
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
