THE ROLEThe investor research analyst position will join JLL’s growing Investor Research team, partnering with research and capital markets teams across the U.S. in driving real-time analytics, creating market- and client-specific content and contributing to broader platform objectives. This analyst will work in collaboration with a cross-functional team of investor research analysts, each specializing in different commercial real estate investment areas. The goal is to create and maintain best-in-class research that differentiates JLL and drives a competitive advantage in the marketplace through market expertise, analysis and insight. An aptitude for applied, consultative, client-specific research is a key factor for this position. Overall Objectives: Execute the capital markets research plan that aligns with Americas research plans and overall business objectivesCollaborate at a high level with senior business leadership to execute the research planMaintain extensive knowledge of the macro and micro factors affecting investment and proactively position research to leverage this knowledge for the business and for clientsWork with marketing teams and business leaders to position research to contribute to the business development effortsUnderstand and manage key resources, data vendors, and available technologyProvide cross-functional support across property types (office, industrial, retail, multifamily and net lease) within the investor research team Specific Responsibilities: Execute the statistical and analytical analysis of relevant property marketTrack and analyze supply and demand fundamentals, leasing comparables, sales and financing activity, and investor and lender characteristicsTrack and analyze underlying economic, demographic, financial, and regulatory trends that could impact property performance or investmentArticulate in a compelling way market trends and insights internally and externally in written reports and live presentationsProduce national capital markets research analyses and coordinate activities with local capital markets and research expertsDevelop and share best practice standards across the Americas Research GroupDevelop strong relationships with internal and external clients and facilitate the use of research as a differentiatorDevelop white paper reports on key trends, issues affecting the marketContribute to public relations initiatives to help build recognition for JLL’s capital markets platformProactively leverage local market personnel to enhance knowledge and gather critical informationCollaborate with capital markets research specialty team to provide on-going support across property types and regions. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS One or more years in commercial real estate research or closely related fieldSolid working knowledge of real estate dynamics including macro trends and historical perspectiveStrong analytical skills, problem solving ability, and written and oral communication skillsExperience managing workload and report productionPresentation skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external clients at all levelsAbility to effectively and professionally meet client expectations and positively represent the firmAbility to multi-task, succeed under pressure and effectively manage time and workloadProactive thinking and ability to lead research initiatives in alignment with business objectivesAn advanced command of requisite technology including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other database systemsBachelors degree in business, economics or related field requiredMotivated and self-starting with a desire to succeed and contribute to the success of a teamA desire to work within a diverse, collaborative and driven professional environment#LI
