Position Summary
The Loan Servicing Business Specialist plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of tasks related to the company’s Loan Servicing functions. The role is responsible for, under general to limited supervision, for problem solving business processes that warrant revisions and resolutions. This position will perform audits and proper documentation to review the effectiveness of the testing performed; as well as, effectively collaborate with IT to resolve a wide range of issues.
Essential Functions
• Support trouble shooting and problem solving when business processes do not function as expected.
• Function as point person when delivering/presenting documentation (write-ups) of errors to MIS; collaborate with IT to resolve issues.
• Prepare documentation for “fixes”, prepare write-ups for system ‘fix it’ requests; determine through regular check-ins with VP, Loan Counseling.
• Complete post implementation review and certify that results are in line with required fixes/specs, new regulations.
• Support identification of data for audit requests by gathering and identifying data that can be properly documented.
• Proficient, specific and expedient when pulling data during various types of audit requests.
• Extract information from system using technical skills, while creating efficiencies and proper documentation of queries as to not duplicate future efforts.
• Responsible for user acceptance testing (UAT) of new programming if small scale, coordination of user acceptance testing if large scale, help roll out to business when appropriate.
• Provide business help-desk support on a daily basis to the team and other stakeholders, in order to ensure that research of inquiries made are handled appropriately, resolved successfully and in a timely manner.
• Fine tune skills to develop as SME/point of contact, specific to Loan Counseling and Loss Mitigation by researching and resolving issues for management team and department.
• Work closely with VP and Business Analysts on system fixes and project documentation.
• Effectively liaise between business and VP, Loan Counseling.
• Effectively liaise between Business Analysts and VP, Loan Counseling.
• Organize users to ensure testers are doing the testing they are supposed to be doing, dependent on project.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, along with 3 years minimum directly related experience required.
• Advanced MS Excel skills required.
• Query skills and Mortgage Banking knowledge a plus.
• Perform key functions with effective Process Management skills.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Passionate about delivering excellence in customer service within a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely present issues, ideas and recommendations in verbal and written formats.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

Supervision
Travel: 0%
Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; mobility in an office setting.
Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.
Environmental: Office environment – no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions
