This position is responsible for helping the Advisor Channel sales team attain production goals by developing new and maintaining existing RIA relationships in addition to assisting existing no load policy owners with new purchases. This will be accomplished through a combination of sales and operational support. The focus is to increase sales production through effective communication of product knowledge, illustration support, sales concepts and addressing the needs of the RIA channel through concierge service. Role alignment and execution among all team members is essential.
Essential Functions:
Sales Support
• Frontline inbound advisor/client communication
• Outbound Advisor prospecting
• Pre and post conference/meeting coordination
• Assist in developing marketing communications, sales tools, presentations, etc
• Policy analysis and case design
• Proposal generation
• Application fulfillment
• Application/opportunity follow up
Operational Support
• New business management
• Policy mailing & requirement follow-up
• Salesforce database management
• Marketing kit fulfillment
• Act as liaison with other areas of the company to resolve immediate issues.
Other Functions
• Participate in weekly team meetings.
• Document all activities in SalesForce (CRM).
• Continuously enhance knowledge and skills through professional development activities
• Perform other duties as needed by the department.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience plus at least five (5) years' experience in the life insurance and/or annuity industry, with an emphasis on sales or marketing preferred.
• Series 6 or 7 license required
• Insurance license preferred, must obtain within 90 days
• Knowledge of Life Insurance and Annuity products
• Strong communication (verbal & written) and relationship building skills, especially by phone
• Discretion, judgment and objectivity
• Requires a demonstrated record of initiative, problem-solving, adaptability, flexibility and accountability.
• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented with an emphasis on accuracy and quality.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office required, general Illustration system and CRM system experience preferred.
Given the overall regional goals and priorities established the incumbent must exercise a great deal of personal discretion and judgment in maintaining objectivity among many groups/individuals, to communicate in a diplomatic manner, to effectively handle changing and/or stressful situations as well as to diffuse conflict and negotiate win-win outcomes.
