Director, Product Management - Connectivity and Switching - NAM Solutions
Overview
• The Network Solutions Connectivity and Switching team is dedicated to growing Mastercard revenue from transaction switching and proprietary value added services associated with switching. The Network Solutions team partners with Enterprise Security Solutions, Operations & Technology and Regional Partners to enhance the strategic fit, quality, efficiency and applicability of Mastercard’s network and services assets to customer needs. The team creates Product and Solutions offerings to drive product distribution and competitive advantage with merchants, processors, financial institutions, fintechs, and other industry participants.
• The Director, Product Management position will develop, optimize and manage product offerings focusing on North America Markets based solutions to deliver capabilities and global standardized service bundles for various issuer, acquirer, merchant, ISO, ISV and processor switching customer configurations. Define and maintain the product offerings in order to provide flexibility to switching product strategy and product management to configure product and services solutions that meet evolving customer use case business requirements.
• The role will require significant collaboration and ability to influence across global Mastercard teams, across product and the regions. It reports to the VP, Switching Products.
Role
• Design, develop and management of Mastercard’s (insert specific product responsibilities here) utilizing PME framework to ensure functionality ( insert specifics) product/services are market ready and maximize sales opportunities with target customers.
• Responsible for product management within the larger enterprise switching strategy and for end-to-end lifecycle management of products.
• Defines business requirements and manages the relationships of technical and other resources across markets, operations and other required PME relevant organizations
• As prescribed by VP Switching Products, work closely with the other global and regional product teams to identify product requirements, evaluate business cases, and create customer value propositions for switching services offerings.
• As prescribed by VP Switching Products, refine and manage global switching services bundle offerings to enhance relevance in markets; developed, emerging and domestic where on-soil or statutory requirements apply.
• Identify enhancements and incremental products and services opportunities that can be developed and marketed to customers applying business case disciplines.
• Partner with regional product, account management, and market development teams to execute a PME product management process and support go-to-market initiatives.
• Develop reporting, analytics and presentations for tracking key initiatives, product utilization and performance in supported markets. Conduct analyses & data mining to identify & capture opportunities.
All About You
• Significant experience in Product management, including PME, pricing and go to market execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing or related field;
• Significant prior product management experience in the global payment industry; experience in product management from ideation through launch
• Ability to influence senior leadership across a global, decentralized organization
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong, productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers
• Proven ability to build high functioning, creative, execution oriented cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Travel required
• Oversee the planning, development and design of product marketing strategy from product decision through end of life cycle.
• Responsible for idea generation; concept validation; and business case development for existing and new products
• Defines business requirements, and manages the relationships of technical and other resources across markets, operations and other required PME relevant organizations.
Identify and develop enhancements and incremental products and services opportunities that can be developed and marketed to customers applying business case
• Develop strategy and possible enhancements of product offerings in coordination with Product Development, customers and third parties
• Develop and manage relevant budget planning, forecasts, accruals
• Collaborate with regional and local sales resources in support of product life cycle requirements
