Position Overview
The Project Management Manager Role will be part of the SF Strategic Delivery department within the Single Family Division. The SF Strategic Delivery department is responsible for identifying, evaluating, designing, developing, and implementing new or enhanced offerings, concepts, and business or technology projects initiated by the Single Family Division. SF Strategic Delivery engages business areas across the company including technology to identify and solution for new capabilities and resolve impacts related to the projects being implemented.
Manages projects and/or complex work streams of large initiatives, typically within a single business line. Responsible for design and development of the work stream and deliverables, as well as project management and staff management and development. Leads staff to perform business analysis activities and is accountable for producing related deliverables to meet goals. Provides resolutions to an assortment of problems. Works under normal supervision. Creates work plans based on high-level direction. Reviews staff work for accuracy of technical analysis and overall adequacy. Functions in an Agile Product Owner capacity and partners with the customer to develop Epics and features, as well as manage the Product Backlog. Primarily intra-organizational with occasional inter-organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters. Typically has 7 - 10 years related experience.
Responsibilities include:
•Support the management of multi-year business and technology transformation projects
•Agile Scope and Product Owner Management
•Resource management oversight
•Coordinating project activities across multiple work streams
•Building strong relationships with interdisciplinary teams supporting the project(s)
•Key program deliverable upkeep and management
•Integrated plan maintenance and support
•Planview resource management and identification of budget implications and drivers
•Management reporting and support for communication of program status
•Requirements and change request process management
•Issue and risk tracking, management and reporting
•Manage a team of business analysts and ross functional teams to deliver capabilities
Qualifications
• Typically has 7-10 years of experience in a program support environment managing large scale programs
• Typically has 7-10 years of managing people and matrixed people management
• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience
• Strong Project Management skills and experience
• Experience working on large complex change management projects that involve interfacing with multiple teams, especially projects involving changes to business applications and technology
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and experience with Agile
• Strong communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of the organization
• Analytical thinking; able to amass and analyze large volumes of seemingly disparate information with limited guidance
• Flexibility; ability to adapt work plans and approaches to changing priorities in support of team needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to learn new business concepts and skills quickly
• Results/execution oriented with a strong customer focus
Preferred Skills
• PMP certification
• Masters degree in project or program management
• Experience with Planview and DOORS
• Experience in the mortgage industry
