Job Description
Job Summary:
This position performs all phases of audit work for the bank and its subsidiaries. In addition, this position may manage audits of lower complexity and risk from inception through completion.
Principal Responsibilities:
Promotes and applies professional ethics at all times. Utilizes knowledge of control framework and the financial services industry to perform audit tasks.
Manages lower risk level or less complex audits from inception through completion. Provides various degrees of assistance with more complex and higher risk audits.
Executes, or may define, audit scope and objectives, conducts interviews and walkthroughs, identifies key risks and controls, and designs control testing approaches in compliance with Audit policies and procedures.
Execute SOX testing including the definition of the testing scope, control evaluation, test activities and monitoring issue resolution for assigned areas.
Evaluates business risks and makes recommendations to manager to address control weaknesses. Elicits corrective action from business area management and prepares draft audit reports.
Delivers and communicates audit status and results to manager. Provides summary report to manager for review.
Conducts various other audit work required by Internal Audit’s Methodology, which includes monitoring and validation of corrective action plans, project monitoring, continuous monitoring and performing risk assessments.
Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.
Job Requirements
Education/Experience Requirements:
College degree or equivalent work experience required.
3-5 years relevant experience.
CIA, CISA preferred

Demonstrated ability to effectively assess risks and determine the impact to business line objectives and goals, operations and financial reporting in a manner that balances the needs of company risk management practices as well as the business unit.
Demonstrated ability to identify and understand issue root cause.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management and external counterparts to establish and foster critical internal and external working relationships with strong listening and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to independently apply process analysis, critical thinking, business intelligence, and problem solving techniques.
Demonstrated ability to identify business or industry trends and incorporate it with audit work.
Demonstrated ability to write reports and communicate audit findings (both verbally and in writing) to management and staff.
Demonstrated ability to manage small to moderate projects from inception through completion.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritize multiple tasks, manage priorities and prepare timely status updates.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast pace environment and adapt quickly to new processes and practices.
Excellent PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, internet and industry specific programs.
Knowledge of and experience working with Sarbanes Oxley.
Awareness of OCC, FRB, CFPB and FFIEC regulations and guidance.
