Description
The Underwriter is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting business and personal financial data collected for the purpose of issuing, amending, extending, renewing, monitoring and testing commercial credit facilities, specifically in the franchise finance space. Liaise between all parties to ensure timely and efficient tracking and analysis that meets the expectations of the Borrowers, Lenders and Administration Teams.
Under the umbrella of underwriting and portfolio management of the risk administration processes for the Franchise Finance group, the Employee is specifically responsible for: Underwriting credit requests, preparing, reviewing and presenting credit summaries for approval, collecting, spreading, analyzing, and maintaining financial statements, participating in opportunity assessment and prospecting process, preparing borrower, brand and portfolio reviews, testing and monitoring financial covenants consistent with loan requirements.

Qualifications
2+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree. Must have experience and focus on credit analysis or underwriting, specifically in the franchise finance space, or completion of a commercial lending training program. Relationship management experience is a plus, but not required. Experience working in a matrixed role helpful. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills. Proven ability to manage tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
