The Internal Communications Director will be responsible for designing, developing and executing a dynamic internal communication strategy that keeps our employees connected to one another, to the vision of our leaders, to the firm’s culture and history, as well as to Dimensional’s broader purpose as an organization. The Internal Communications Director will take on responsibility of existing initiatives and will be encouraged to develop new strategies appropriate for our firm, given our size and growth.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute complex communications plans and campaigns by developing communications strategies and driving the execution of these plans, which are often global in nature
• Consider the role of technology – including our intranet -- and oversee the evolution and support needed to maintain the platforms
• Lead the development and execution of internal communications programs such as quarterly updates, Dimensional Week, organizational changes, and new or existing program campaigns
• Develop and implement internal communications programs in support of our executive team.
• Develop and implement internal communications programs in support of HR and other internal business partners.
• Create internal corporate communications such as articles, events, blogs, videos, graphics, employee profiles, for publication on the corporate intranet and other internal channels
• Develop additional approaches for measuring the effectiveness of our internal communications through dashboards
• Provide recommendations for continuously improving communications (adding new channels, evolving current ones, etc.) by analyzing metrics and staying informed on new innovative communications approaches
Qualifications:
• 10+ years corporate communications experience, preferably in the asset management or financial services industry
• Strong relationship building and influencing skills, especially with senior leaders and a strong client service orientation
• Excellent communications planning and strategy experience and ability to execute on complex plans through strong project and timeline management
• Ability to work across teams to execute a communications plan. Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to conduct analysis of metrics and present information in a meaningful way
• Excellent writing and editing skills; experience building collaborative digital communications programs, a plus
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field. Master’s Degree in Business, Mass Communications, Marketing/Public Relations, Journalism or English preferred
