Wipfliis currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Internal Accounting Manager. Under the direction of the Director of Finance, the Internal Accounting Manager will oversee the preparation of fixed asset and depreciation schedules, sales and use tax compliance and the accounts payable, cash receipt processing and cash management functions of the firm.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements for presentation to Firm leadership
• Manage preparation of book and tax basis fixed asset and depreciation schedules
• Manage sale and use tax compliance
• Manage accounts payable function
• Manage cash receipt processing and cash management functions
• Provide general financial, analytical, and statistical support to the Director of Finance and Firm leadership
• Serve as Performance Coach for direct reports
• Prepare year-end compilation-type workpapers
• Assist with merger and acquisition integration activities
• Manage business side ownership of firm’s practice management system
Qualifications
• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field or comparable experience.
• CPA is preferred
• 5-10 years previous experience in an internal finance role
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively
• Ability to balance many projects simultaneously
• Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines
• Ability to analyze data and recommend solutions
• Requires strong problem identification/analysis skills
• Requires strong project management and systems analysis skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with associates at all levels of the organization while maintaining confidentiality
• Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally to achieve the goals and objectives of projects
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
