Responsible for driving, developing and managing the overall strategic marketing direction of Mutual of Omaha Bank. Develops and implements a strategy for online account acquisition and retention to ensure customer loyalty through a nationwide presence and competitive positioning of Mutual of Omaha Bank products and services. Ensures compliance with bank practices and applicable federal/state regulations, statutes and/or requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
• Provides marketing leadership throughout the organization, providing marketing counsel on strategic and tactical issues.
• Provides strategic direction and vision to achieve annual and long-term marketing goals of Mutual of Omaha Bank.
• Develops, manages and implements marketing plans to maximize market share and profitability. This includes formulating strategy at the enterprise level, and driving strategic planning at the regional/market level through regional marketing teams.
• Directs and oversees business development strategy for online account acquisition including sales and distribution of online products.
• Ensures efficient and effective utilization of Internet based technologies distribution channel in order to increase the profitability of the Bank's products and services and expand its market penetration.
• Collaborates with business partners in order to identify and ensure technology, marketing and delivery platforms are identified and the integration of such methodology aligns with Bank strategy.
• Tracks the effectiveness of the campaigns and provides recommendations and develops activities to support short and long-term business strategies and objectives.
• Ensures that relationships between Mutual of Omaha Bank and its clients are being built, nurtured and maintained, exploring all opportunities to build long-term, profitable customer relationships.
• Works in collaboration with other departments and outside vendors in the implementation and execution of marketing plans.
• Hires, manages and coaches a marketing team. Works to create a productive, creative and accountable culture in which everyone can grow and excel.
• Oversees preparation and management of annual marketing plan and budgets based on stated objectives.
• This position requires up to 33% travel, which may include flying and/or driving and some overnight stays.
• This position requires sitting over 66% of the time.
• This position requires Visual Acuity at 20 inches (or less) over 66% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Extensive (10 - 15 years) marketing experience and knowledge of the banking industry, with special emphasis on business and commercial lines.
• Record of success in marketing bank products and services to a diverse audience at both the national level.
• Thorough understanding of banking products, sales, marketing philosophies, electronic distribution channels and competition.
• Strong strategic planning, project management, organizational and leadership management skills.
• Seasoned knowledge and understanding of E-Business/Internet banking technologies and operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Personal computer skills in various software packages, including word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail and presentation, and banking systems.
• Ability to analyze, interpret and utilize significant data to make sound business decisions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, consultative and relationship management skills with the ability to make effective presentations to prospective customers and company principals, existing customers, banking officials and community leaders.
• Ability to teach or foster development in others.
• Ability to gain compliance in a fair, equitable, non-punishing fashion.
