Job Description Summary
Under direct supervision, responsible for providing basic to moderately complex clerical duties related to loan requests submitted by Business Line Officers. Reviews business/commercial loan information on accuracy and adheres to established Bank’s underwriting criteria. Prepares loan set-up packages and submits files into the loan origination system, Finance Center.
Essential Job Functions
1. Processes new applications/requests submitted by Line Officers to verify completeness and accuracy of applications prior to submitting to pre-underwriting.
2. Review existing customer account information and relationship in the system to calculate any exposure and determine which Underwriter to route to for proper approval authority.
3. Validates and collects all financial information required for UW, this includes linking aggregate exposures, gathering credit reports and requesting/ordering third party vendor inspections.
4. Responsible for conducting Customer Due Diligence. Ensure loans are compliant with bank policy and procedure, regulatory requirements (flood, OFAC etc.), and all closing conditions are met.
5. Creates and mails all written customer notifications applicable by bank policy, compliance or related regulatory conditions.
6. Ensures that customers receive prompt, courteous, and accurate responses whether systematically or through e-mail, fax, or telephone. Resolves any problems in a timely manner or escalates to supervisory staff.
7. Responsible for making the initial customer contact and ongoing monitoring of past due Real Estate Property Taxes.
8. Scans and images all incoming customer information applicable to the application process to be maintained in the electronic credit file.
9. Perform any additional duties/activities assigned by management.
