Summary
Performs key project management responsibilities for multiple, concurrent projects including requirements gathering, work planning, communications, issue resolution, expense tracking, financial reporting and change management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Meets with business units to develop and demonstrate an understanding of their business needs, expectations, and requirements. Works with external vendors to create statements of work (SOWs) or professional engagements for specific projects.
• Coordinates and leads all activities of the project team and ensures that project tasks are completed by scheduling and facilitating team meetings, executive updates, and required tasks.
• Develops, maintains, reviews, and disseminates all project documentation including business requirements, status reports, invoices, change orders, project schedules, and post mortem reviews.
• Collaborates with business units and project teams to estimate costs and timing for tasks creating essential documentation and tracking. Works with Project Analysts to manage and track project budgets.
• Utilizes analytical skills to make critical decisions and solve problems. Identifies project risks early and assists by providing timely recommendations for risk avoidance.
• Provides management with regular project updates and solutions for potential issues and delays.
• Ensures effective utilization of each team member related to project needs and project manager skillsets.
• Complies with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 4+ – AVP; 7+ - VP, years of project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Project management experience in Banking and/or financial institutions is preferred. Experience in leading multiple projects (typically unrelated) concurrently is required. Management experience in leading teams and experience in leading projects required.
Certificates and Licenses
Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or on a path to obtain one, is preferred.
